Welcome to Young Black & Brilliant (YB&B)!


Registration is now open for our 2026–2027 Literacy Enrichment Program!

Join us this year as we empower youth ages 11–16 through literacy enrichment, leadership development, life skills, and community engagement in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment.

Kick off the new program year with us on
Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Puyallup Public Library!

This free family event is a great opportunity to:
  • Meet the YB&B team
  • Learn about the upcoming program year
  • Meet other youth and families
  • Enjoy food, games, and fun activities
  • Ask questions before the program begins

Whether you're a returning family or joining YB&B for the first time, we'd love to welcome you!


What to Expect at YB&B

Throughout our 9-month Literacy Enrichment Program, youth will experience:
  •  Culturally relevant books and engaging discussions
  •  Leadership development and life skills
  •  Interactive literacy games and activities
  •  Community service and engagement opportunities
  •  Guest speakers and hands-on workshops
  •  Field trips and enrichment experiences
  •  A safe, supportive community where youth build confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love of learning

Weekly program sessions begin Thursday, September 17, 2026, and meet every Thursday from 5:45–7:30 p.m.

We can't wait to welcome you for another incredible year of learning, leadership, and growth!
